United Geophysical (Nigeria) Limited currently has two crews operating within Nigeria.
Our land crew is currently conducting a 3D high resolution seismic survey in a complex environment comprising of farmland, swamp/mangrove, riverine and urban terrain.
Key assets employed on the crew include; NuSies 5Hz single sensor GTI nodes, Boom Box-3 Autonomous Blasters, INOVA Univibe vibrators (28,000lbs) and RTK units.
The primary source is dynamite (2kg charge, 35m single deep hole) with Univibes as a secondary source within urban environments.
Monthly production averages around 100Km2 in the wet season and 150Km2 during the dry season. Recording operations are supported by 40 survey crews and 70 drilling crews which are required to keep pace with high nodal recording productivity.
Data quality is confirmed as excellent with improved S/N ratio when compared to conventional 10Hz geophone arrays.
Our second crew is currently mobilizing but will utilize the same land technology coupled with new marine assets.
