United Geophysical (Nigeria) Limited is Nigeria’s oldest oil service company having began operations in the western Niger Delta in the early 1960’s and incorporated as a limited liability company in 1971. 

The company has over 60 years of continuous operations specialising in land/desert, swamp, urban and transition zone, 2D, 3D and 4D seismic data acquisition and has conducted seismic surveys for all the major oil companies operating in Nigeria.

We are proud of our long standing traditions of technical excellence and the continual development and training of our technical and operational staff to meet the challenges of modern exploration methods.

UGNL trained staff have always been in great demand and today you can find ex-UGNL trained professional staff in senior positions in Government, all major Oil Companies and throughout the industry.

We continue with these long standing traditions of excellence and we will continue to work towards making a positive contribution to both the economy of Nigeria and to all whom we do business with. The company employs around 2,000 personnel.
